Application and Properties: |
OP 121TT is an
aglomerated fluoride-basic type flux, preferably applied
for welding of high-strength fine grained structural
steels, as well as cryogenic steels and steels resistant
to ageing. OP 121 TT is particularly suited for tandem
and multi-wire welding. Based on CTOD-tests made in
combination with OE-SD3 wire electrodes, OP 121TT is
suitable to employ for welding off-shore components. The
weld metal produced in combination with corresponding
wire electrodes meets high toughness requirement at
subzero temperatures. OP 121 TT produces short slag, so
that girth seams of small diameter workpieces can be
welded without the danger of the slag running off. Welds
are uniformly shaped, without constrictions and
undercuts. OP 121TT is suitable to be used on either DC,
positive pole or AC up to about 1000A. Grain size
according to EN 760: 2-20, 10x50 mesh. Basicity Index :
